dBASE III Lotus 123 FOR ARCHAEOLOGY

THE APPLICATIONS OF dBASE III PLUS AND Lotus 123 FOR ARCHAEOLOGY(ABSTRACT)孫寶鋼        This paper introduces the applications of dBASE III PLUS and Lotus 123 for archaeology. At first, using dBASE III PLUS , the database of stone implements from Lung- Ch’uan Ts’un site was created, sorted, and listed through the ordinary procedures, the report generator, and the command files. Next, with the applications of Lotus 123, the ways to generate different spreadsheets and graphs for the data of pottery sherds from Tung- Chiao site, through both the ordinary procedures and macros, were presented. Furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages of these two software packages were discussed.
